A 2A coach has bays of four berths, a lower and an upper on each side, plus a side lower and side upper along the corridor, for 46 to 54 berths in total depending on the coach type. Curtains close off each bay and the side berths. Bedding is provided. It is the class most families choose for overnight journeys when the 3A crowd and the middle berth are the objection.
The fare sits at roughly three and three-quarter times the Sleeper fare. The cancellation flat charge is ₹200 plus GST per passenger.
