SU — Side Upper berth

The upper berth along the corridor: private, a little short, and the coldest spot in an AC coach.

The side upper sits above the side lower, along the corridor, and is not shared at any time of day. It is the shortest berth in the coach on ICF stock, sits directly under the air-conditioning duct in AC coaches, and has the corridor light on all night; regular travellers either love it or avoid it.

It appears as SU after the berth number on a ticket and is one of the two berth codes, with side lower, that are only found on the corridor side of a coach.
